April

Easter/Spring

It's officially Spring! Though the first day was March 21st 😉, April will be the first entire month to enjoy the season! We're going to continue this topic as well as celebrate the holiday and our personal beliefs tied to Easter. What a wonderful holiday filled with peace, hope, and love! I always look forward to talking about and celebrating this special time with my children. My older kids have the following week off of school so we will definitely plan on enjoying some time outside if the weather permits. We also hope to go and find some baby animals (especially for my little farmer 🥰) and also make some crafts and special foods for this theme!

Transportation

There are so many fun ideas to implement with this theme as well as many different types of transportation to learn about and have fun with! There are dozens of songs, books, activities and crafts that I've seen and we hope to include at least a few of them! Some favorite books of ours are the Little Blue Truck series as well as the Construction Site books- adorable! 💛

Gardening

We are fortunate to live with my parents right now and my kids get to experience some great things, one being, the basics of gardening! My parents plant a large garden each year and it's around this time that they start planning and planting their garden. The kids have had the opportunity to help and have done their small part in helping with the garden a couple of years now, especially while we have lived here. We might try growing some strawberries on our porch this year as well and will do some other fun things with this theme! Stay tuned!
